My Story

Hi, I’m April Kember— a registered nutritionist and founder of Nourished by April. I help busy women who’ve “tried it all” lose weight with a simple, enjoyable, and sustainable approach — no dieting rules or deprivation required.

My love for nutrition began when I was a competitive runner, where I discovered how deeply food impacts energy, performance, and overall wellbeing. That passion led me to earn a BSc in Nutrition from St Mary’s University — but that wasn’t enough for me. My thirst for knowledge drove me to complete a Master’s in Human Nutrition at Plymouth University, where I deepened my understanding of how food truly shapes our health.

After nearly a decade in the food industry developing products for leading UK brands, I noticed a pattern — accomplished women thriving in their careers but feeling stuck, exhausted, and frustrated with their weight and wellbeing. I knew there had to be a better, more sustainable way forward — so women could feel not only accomplished in their careers, but in their health too.

That’s why I created Nourished by April — to cut through the noise and offer evidence-based, compassionate support that fits real life.

At Nourished by April, every client receives a tailored, individual, and client-led approach. I understand that each woman has her own story, background, and needs. Together, we get to the heart of what’s holding you back and create a plan that’s both effective and sustainable — setting you on a path to nutritional confidence, lasting results, and a healthier, happier future.
